The Jewell boys have enjoyed many fun activities over the last few weeks, but have also had some nice, quiet fun in our day to day lives. Just a few things to remember from October...
Isaac and Elliott were finally able to take a photo with Ms. Paige! She was one of their Red Room teachers and they love her! They still see her in the mornings for drop off and are excited when she is at school early. Holding them both gave her an arm workout though!
The boys love Otto!! They talk to him, pet him, and even try to discipline him...whether he needs it or not! On this particular night, they were especially loving and gave him lots of hugs and kisses. He eagerly gave kisses right back! I'm not sure if those kisses were expected but they were tolerated by all parties!
Elliott and Isaac discovered the car shopping carts at Kroger and grocery shopping will never be the same again! They would be perfectly happy if we needed to go to "Ro-er" (Kroger) every day. Since it is so close to daycare, we do go quite often. Selfishly, we have avoided the "car carts" because we knew there would be no turning back once the boys sat in one. We were correct! They steered, said "beep beep", and honked the horn all throughout our shopping excursion. They were very serious drivers! They were also very seriously upset when our shopping was finished. We had to drive the car cart to the parking lot to avoid a public meltdown of two little boys who did not want to park their car!
Isaac has always been very interested in helping cook supper. He enjoys doing anything we will let him do to help. Recently, Elliott has wanted to join in, too. The boys helped Bob prepare our pizza one night. Is there anything more awesome than three boys cooking in the kitchen?
Elliott took a break from cooking to have a snack. Just when I think he has my eating habits (i.e., strong love for fresh tomatoes), he does something just plain strange! He requested frozen peas...yes, frozen peas! Not only did he eat one serving but he asked for another!
Prior to this cold snap, we enjoyed daily walks and "bike rides". The boys have so much fun on their tricycles and we all enjoy the family time after work!
Elliott and Isaac have a new spot to hang out...under the kitchen table! They have their snacks there, play with Otto there, and retreat there after supper. Bob likened this to them being ready to build "forts". so, that's just what they have done!
Lots of fun in October!
