More Fun with Gramma

On Wednesday, July 18th, we had another fun day with Gramma.  We started the day with a delicious meal of pancakes, sausage, and watermelon, thanks to Bob!

Then, we headed to Explorium of Lexington, the children's museum.  Isaac and Elliott did just that...they explored!  Below are several pictures from our outing.

I hope this is not a predictor of our future...Isaac driving with a mischievous look on his face, while Elliott has his feet propped on the dash!

Then the mischievous looks turns into "But Dad, Elliott was driving"!

They loved the maze!  It was not quite as fun for the adults.  The boys moved quickly through, breaking every rule...no touching the dividers and no crawling under them!  Oh well!  We positioned ourselves around the room at exits so we could at least make sure they were still in there!

Bob's dream...on the moon with his boys!

"Bubas!" (Bubbles)

They were excited to discover the "cat" under the stairs in the reading area.  It was really a fox, but they could not be convinced otherwise!

After lunch and a nap, the boys played outside with Gramma!

They decided Gramma needed to be wet, too!
Look at those wet bellies...The boys, not Gramma's!  They spared her white shirt and aimed for her pants!

If you see this, run the opposite direction as fast as you can or you will get wet!

Rest break with Gramma

Isaac's counterproductive drinking...it sure is difficult to quench your thirst when the cup has holes in the bottom!
Life is good...Daddy, Gramma, a book, a raisin container, and toothbrushes!

The photo below is really terrible of me (the room was dark so I'm blaming the repeated flash for my wonky eyes), but a memory that I will cherish forever.  Typically, our bedtime routine involves Bob reading a book with Isaac in his lap while I nurse Elliott.  I put Elliott to bed, then rock with Isaac after Bob kisses us both goodnight.  It is a very sweet and peaceful part of our daily routine.  On this Thursday night, both boys wanted to rock at the same time, so we made use of our extra wide glider.  They both fell asleep quickly, but I enjoyed some extra snuggles with my very tired boys.

I had a mother-daughter date planned with my mom, Donna, and Elizabeth to see Barry Manilow on Friday, July 20th.  Unfortunately, this was also Gramma's last night with us.  Bob was in charge of photos and captured this sweet photo of Isaac getting one last book in with Gramma.

We are so grateful for the time Gramma spent with us during her summer tour!  We had a great visit and it was so fun to see the boys interacting with her and establishing their special bond!
