Christmas Festivities

We love the Christmas season and all of the festivities!

Mom and I decorated the Santa tree in our living room.  Our family room tree was bare this year, only dressed in lights, to save the ornaments from the fingers of two curious boys.

With our decorating supervisor, Otto

To prepare for the season, we held a photo session for our "perfect" Christmas card picture.  We liked so many that showed their personalities, but decided on the three below.  While some may not consider our choices perfect, they were perfect for us!

One ornament was damaged beyond repair during the making of this Christmas card.
Now you see why the tree in our main living area was undecorated!

Looking cute is sooooo difficult!

The cover shot!

On Sunday, December 18th, Elliott and Isaac went to visit Santa at Lexington Green.  This Santa is the real deal!  The boys were fine and slightly dazed by the photographer's bell ringing... until they realized who was holding them.  Santa was a good sport!

Santa looked a little too long!
Poor Elliott!  Notice Isaac's pouty lip ... am I a bad parent if I say I wish they photographer had gotten a photo of both of them crying at Santa?!  Hey, it was a memory!

On Thursday, December 22nd, Bob and I attended Isaac and Elliott's Christmas party at Creation Kingdom.  The boys enjoyed Christmas cookies and socializing with some of their favorite ladies.

We surprised them.  I think they were in shock!

They are cookie-deprived!  They were so excited and ate and ate and ate...

An attempt to get a photo with Ms. Lydia
The boys were too busy to stop for pictures.  Ms. Lydia was their lead infant teacher and our babysitter when we need her.  The boys love her!!

A little calmer with Ms. Nicole
Ms. Nicole was also one of their infant teachers, substituted in Wobbler, and then has moved to Red room with them.  We hope she keeps traveling with Elliott and Isaac!  She is wonderful!!

Too much partying to pose with Ms. Carlie and Ms. Alice
Ms. Carlie (holding Elliott) has floated in their rooms since they started at Creation Kingdom.
Ms. Alice (holding Isaac) was their Wobbler room lead teacher.
Regardless of Elliott's expression, the boys really do like them!

The annual Jewell Christmas gathering was held on Friday, December 23rd at Uncle Jim's house.  The boys loved playing with their older cousins and all of the cousins were wonderful with them!  We did not get as many photos as we would have liked.  The boys were on the move constantly and Bob and I were one:one, parent:twin!  It was great to see everyone and to watch the boys have so much fun with family!

Cousins Taylor and Jimmy were wonderful with Isaac and Elliott!  The boys loved them!

After the Jewell gathering, we spent Christmas Eve eve at Poppy's house.

Though we had a leisurely morning, Elliott was exhausted and couldn't wait until the car ride to fall asleep.

Poppy and Isaac thought Elliott had the right idea...

But, Isaac had second thoughts and tried to wake up brother! Time for another photo session, Elliott!

Three generations

Happy, sleepy family!

Merry Christmas Eve!
