May 1st marked the end of a very special time in the lives of the Jewell twins...it was Meme's last official day of babysitting before they attend daycare full time. Since Elliott and Isaac were three months old, she has kept them on Mondays and Tuesdays. Faithfully, she made the trek every Sunday from Lebanon to Lexington. This has been an invaluable gift to both the boys and to us! We can never thank her enough for everything she has done for us! Saying "thank you" seems too simple for her selflessness and her generosity, but....THANK YOU, Meme!!!
Also on May 1st, the boys took their last bath in the infant tub. Just another step towards growing up way too fast! Some silly bathtub faces to mark the occasion.
Mini Bobs!
Bathing together in the big tub for the second time!
The first time was several months prior and was a major disaster!
Bob's version of UGGs for the boys...cracks me up!
Pudding was a hit! Messy, but they definitely enjoyed it!
Elliott and Isaac turned 19 months old!
They were being goofy boys and as you can see, needed quite a few props for this session!

Let me help you with that sticker, Brother! |
It must have been a rough day at school...it was a double-paci-kind-of-night!
We had a great day on Friday, May 11th! I left work a little early to have Mother's Day "Tea" with Elliott and Isaac at daycare. I have tea in quotation marks because we actually had pink lemonade so the kids could drink it too. They were so excited and loved the chocolate chip cookies!
Isaac even helped Ms. Brandy clean up after the party! |
Elliott savored his cookies, saving some for the ride home! |
Elliott and Isaac made special gifts for me...Hand print butterflies and a potted flower with finger-print ladybugs on the pot. Precious!
After the party, we hopped in the car to hurry to Cincinnati for Bryce's dance recital. He did awesome! That boy sure has rhythm! We all loved watching him! Elliott and Isaac were mesmerized by the music and the movement!
After the recital, Bryce was prepared for Aunt Meghan and her camera. He had his poses all planned out. Love it! Below are a couple of my favorites!

A fun evening to celebrate Bryce with the family! |
Circle of cousins! |
Love these Jewells! |
Great coordination! |
On Saturday, May 12th, we participated in the Take Steps, Be Heard for Crohn's and Colitis walk. This is the third year for the walk and we have participated every year. This year was extra special because our team captains, Amy and Ann, were the Honored Heroes of the Lexington walk! We were honored to be on their team!

Yes, that is a colon on my shirt! |
Annual Twin/Twin photo!
Elliott and Isaac had been playing in the rain. |
What better way to get clean after the walk than a little bathtub swimming...love those baby bums! |
On Sunday, May 13th, we celebrated Mother's Day! All three of my fellas treated me to a very special day! First, the boys sat still long enough for me to read them a few books. Then, I enjoyed a huge breakfast prepared by my wonderful husband! My favorite--chocolate chip pancakes, bacon, and biscuits. He threw in some fruit to help me not look like such a bad dietitian!
After the boys woke from their naps, we went to the Explorium which is the children's museum in Lexington. The boys had a blast exploring and I enjoyed watching them run and play!
They did not quite figure out the stick horses... |
But they did make it to the moon! |
After the Explorium, we met Meme at Chuy's to continue the celebration! It was a wonderful Mother's Day!
We traveled to Cincinnati again on May 19th. This time, we attended Tessa's first dance recital! As we were getting ready, Elliott could not wait for his nap. He fell asleep during his early lunch and stayed asleep the entire time I dressed him!
Yes, we still wear Halloween pj's...even in May..and for as long as they fit! |
Tessa was adorable! She is so full of life and just plain fun! She always puts a smile on our faces and we were so glad to be able to attend her first recital!
Spunky girl! |
After Tessa's recital, we drove to Louisville to visit Poppy in his new house! The boys loved everything about it (and we did, too!)...it is beautiful with lots of space to run and the backyard is wonderful!
Poppy had no idea he had the best toys ever...a cabinet full of Tupperware! |
The boys couldn't wait to play in the backyard on Sunday morning. They were true Kentucky boys...out in their pj's, playing barefoot in the morning dew!
Just like Poppy! |
Such fun architecture for toddlers! |
Thanks to Poppy and Nina for letting us visit your beautiful new home! We know there will be many special memories there! |
On Sunday, June 27th, Elliott, Isaac, and I traveled to Elizabethtown to visit with our friends Carol, Jonah, and Jacob. It was a Mommy/twin-twin play date! We had not seen each other since September and in twin time, that's just way too long! It was so great to spend time together, catching up, and comparing stories! Cannot wait until our next date!
Isaac and Jonah give Elliott a little challenge as he crawls through the tunnel. |
Isaac, Jacob, and Elliott enjoy the water table! |
Look at those bellies! |
It was a hot, hot day...perfect pool weather! |
Carol is one smart mommy...Capri Suns to keep these active boys still and sitting long enough for some quick photos! |
The week after Memorial Day was School Spirit week at Creation Kingdom!
Tuesday was hat day...not so successful for the Jewell twins! |
Wednesday...Pajama day! |
Thursday was mismatched sock day...one athletic sock and one Halloween sock! |
