The Jewell household had a very calm Independence Day this year. It was incredibly hot outside, so we stayed inside most of the day. Meme gave the boys these adorable outfits, so we had to have a photo session!
First, we tried the grass in the front yard. Yes, that brown, straw-like stuff is our grass. So pitiful!
Elliott was not a fan of sitting in the grass, so we moved to the front porch chair.
The chair was to easy to escape from, so we moved to the swing.

The boys were constantly on the move, so we tried standing against the wall of the house, which was much more successful!

Isaac and Elliott spotted the neighbors...such friendly boys, blowing kisses and waving to wish them a Happy 4th!
After the photo session, we made a quality parenting decision and decided to take the boys to Graeter's for supper. Yes, I said it...we had ice cream for supper! And it was yummy!
