As I mentioned in the April post, the weather over Easter weekend was gorgeous. Easter Sunday was absolutely beautiful! The day was perfect! We celebrated Christ's resurrection at Lebanon Baptist and the boys nearly made it all the way through the church service! Elliott had to take a quick break, and Isaac probably should have, but overall they were very well-behaved. They enjoyed all of the music as did their mommy! Just a warning, there are a ridiculous amount of pictures in this post for only one day's
activities! This sampling of photos is less than twenty percent of what I actually took on Easter Sunday! The boys looked super cute, Bob looked super handsome, the weather was gorgeous, and everyone was in a good mood...that's the perfect recipe for lots of pictures to be taken!
The day started with a visit from the Easter Bunny!

Elliott loved his books! |
|
Isaac was all about the food! |
Before going to church, we had a quick photo session...
|
So sweet! |
After church, we went to Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill for lunch. It was a perfect day to be outside and explore the grounds!
|
With Meme and Aunt Melissa! |
I love these happy faces as the boys played around the stone wall! They had so much fun running, chasing each other, and crawling through the tiny archway!
|
Brotherly love! |
The boys visited the goats in the barn. This friendly goat gave Elliott a big, sloppy kiss on the face! I did not catch the actual kiss but the second picture shows his expression after the incident. As you can see by the third picture, he did not mind the smooch at all!

One last burst of energy! |
On our way back to Lebanon from Shaker Village, we stopped at the Lanham's house. Much to our surprise, Rodney was waiting to show the boys the huge tractor. Not only did they get to sit on it, but he took them for a spin around the yard! We may have some future farmers on our hands!
|
No offense to Rodney, but they might be the best-dressed farmers to ever sit on that tractor! |
|
They caught on quickly to steering! |
|
Isaac explores beyond the steering wheel! |
|
Beautiful country! |
I love these photos of the boys with their Great Gram, Bonnie...so sweet! They love her so much!
|
I can dress them up, but I cannot hide the "boy" in them!
Elliott and Isaac displayed their wrestling skills for Great Gram and Jane, dressed in their Easter best! |
As if the day had not held enough fun already, we had an Easter egg hunt at Meme's house once we got home! The boys had "practiced" hunting eggs at daycare, so they knew exactly what to do without coaching. Next year, we are going to need more eggs so they won't find them so quickly!
|
This rabbit was the hit of Easter weekend! It was motioned-sensored and played an oddly twangy version of "Here Comes Peter Cottontail". The boys bounced and danced every time it went off. They loved it and their dancing was adorable!

Happy Easter!!!
