February

February was another sick month for the Jewell family.  We spent lots of time in our pajamas, but did manage to have a little fun and excitement throughout the month!

Elliott and Isaac began feeding themselves more often in February.  They upgraded from their pinchers to utensils and really mastered the art of using a spoon!

On Saturday, February 4th, we had dinner at Chip and Allison Weitkamp's house.  The boys enjoyed playing with James and Julia and we enjoyed catching up with their parents!  We have known Chip and Allison since college and they are how we learned of the boys' daycare, Creation Kingdom.  At the time of our visit, the boys were ready to transition to the next classroom at daycare, so they would then be in the same class with Julia and get to play with her every day!

We had dinner with Gramma, thanks to Skype!  The technology was a bit tricky...we watched her on the computer but listened to her voice through the phone!

Isaac and Elliott turned 16 months old!  We had to incorporate a prop for this session.  Daddy approves of their choice... drum sticks!

 Bath mohawks!

Valentine's Day gifts with Meme!

Isaac has Daddy wrapped around his finger!  What a nice life...someone will bring your sippy cup so you do not have to get out of your chair and that person will hold it for you while you drink!

The boys were recovering from a stomach virus and were sitting so still while watching a movie.  I took the moment to try and get a close up of their sweet, flushed faces.  The photos are not the greatest but the faces in them are the best!

Elliott is so resourceful...re-purposing the basin into extra seating!

On Saturday, February 25th, Elliott and Isaac received their very first haircuts!!
Though they did not have a ton of hair, they were beginning to look a little unkempt.
Mrs. Judy to the rescue!

A few before photos...

Elliott has always had "the patch" with more hair on the left side of his head than the right.  On the day of his haircut, that swirl was a good inch longer than the same area on the right side of his head!

Isaac just has some fluffy fly aways!

Isaac was first in the chair!  He was not sure at first and started to tear up.  Brother was quick to the rescue with a toy from Mrs. Judy's basket.  After that, Isaac relaxed completely!

Thanks Mrs. Judy!
While Isaac was getting his hair cut, Elliott explored.  He found some toys, styling products, but most exciting...a basket of candy!  Isaac may have been relaxing, but he was taking note of what Elliott was doing.  As soon as he finished posing with Mrs. Judy, he went straight to the candy!

Elliott's turn in the chair!  He was quite calm from the start.  It definitely had something to do with the sucker he swiped from the candy basket!  First hair cut and first sucker!

Thanks, Mrs. Judy!
Mrs. Judy was so patient and kind! She turned my babies into little, handsome boys with her scissors! I could not get over how different they looked after a little trim!

And because I just cannot get enough of the cuteness...more night-night kisses!
